Dear
Mac & Eon, I would like to tell you how much we all enjoyed the
'do' last night. All your efforts paid off and I am sure
everyone had a great time albeit a little poignant . I have
never seen Phil chat so much about 82 and with the people he had
a lot in common with. I heard some of the stories and was
listening with awe at the conversations. I looked for you
before we left but didn't see you but I spoke with Eon on the
coach. Thank you both again for a lovely evening and I hope to
see you all in the future |

I am
writing to express my gratitude for inviting me to the first
formal occasion for SAMA82 members. I was pleased to see a good
turnout out to give thanks for lives of those who had served in
the conflict and returned, and to honour those who gave their
lives. As you are aware I have served twice in the Falklands
since the conflict, and I think having worked in the community
there, it brings it home what was achieved for the Islanders. It
is commemorative events and organisations like SAMA82 that
ensure we hold our identity and compassion for our fellow humans
close. Please send my regards to Mac, it was good to meet
him. I would also like to say thank you to you and Lorraine for
your hospitality. Hope to see you soon. |
